San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers and cornerback Quentin Jammer are both key contributors when the team takes the field each Sunday. But now, both men are contributing in a big way off the field, in their efforts to fulfill the dreams of some local kids in need.
Rivers and Jammer have teamed up to build a football stadium for San Pasqual Academy, a first-in-the-nation high school comprised entirely of foster children in the San Diego area. Both Rivers and Jammer are working through their foundations to fund the project, which aims to give the school's football team the chance to finally have a home field to play on.
In addition to Rivers' and Jammer's Foundations, several 'partners' have offered to help with the project including:
1. Cox Communications
2. Miller Environmental
3. The Todd and Mari Gutschow Family Foundation
4. The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation
5. Bridgepoint Education
6. Donovan's Steak & Chop House
